Armed with a Diploma in Marketing from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Babatunde OJOBARO popularly called Mister Rain is a Multiple award winning Radio Broadcaster, a Director, an Actor, Content Developer, PR Strategist, Standup Comedian and a prolific and professional Event Host/Compere.
As an Individual Entrepreneur, in 2O16, Mister Rain was named among the Top 30 most influential youths in Ibadan, in 2017, he also made the list of the Top 50 Entrepreneurs in Ibadan. He was recently also listed as one of the Top 10 outstanding entrepreneurs in Ibadan. As a Radio Broadcaster, Mister Rain was awarded On-Air-Personality of the year in 2015 and 2O16 respectveIy and also got 2 nominations at the Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Awards in 2O16.
In 2018 Mister Rain became a FateFoundation Alumni on Digital Entrepreneurship, this spurred him to create and facilitate Digital Business Masterclasses for over 100 Business Owners and Entrepreneurs in Ibadan and Lagos free of charge, training them on Digital Marketing. Over the past years he has created platforms for over 50 Aspiring Radio Presenters to be trained by professionals to make their dreams come true.
His love for the Arts and Theatre led him to establish “Theatre Hub Africa”, a repertory theatre production company that seeks the revival of the Theatre Culture in Nigeria and has been producing mind-blowing theatrical productions and stage plays since 2016 in Ibadan, Lagos and around Nigerian University Campuses. Additionally he was on the Board of Directors of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ibadan as the Director of Public Relations and Protocols, Director of Individual Opportunities and Trainings, Editor-in-chief in 2O17, 2018 and 2020 respectively.
In 2020 Mister Rain was yet again awarded and decorated as one of the 60 most influential personalities in Ibadan. In recogntion of his versatility and professionalism in the event and entertainment space, the Ibadan Wedding Awards in 2021 decorated him as a Trail Blazer, while the Blingz Events Awards in 2022 handed him an honorary award for being a shinning light in the entertainment industry.
While being recognized as one of the Top 10 individuals making waves in the Ibadan Event Space by Blingz Magazine, Mister Rain was recognized and decorated as one of the “Top 40 under 40” in Oyo State while also being celebrated as one of the 50 thriving men in the Ibadan Event industry in celebration on the International Men’s Day 2022.
Mister Rain as an actor is also popularly known for his role as Uncle Kata and Commander Buruji in the popular TV series “Awon Aladun De” and “Itura” respectively, both on Africa Magic TV Channels with the later being nominated in the 2023 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) as the best original Telenovela.
As an Event Compere, Mister Rain has carved a huge niche for himself in the Corporate space, little wonder most people refer to him as #theCorporateEntertainer. He has worked with notable brands and personalities within and outside Ibadan which includes but not limited to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, H.E Engr. Seyi Makinde and by extension the Oyo State government, the Ministry of Youths and Sports, the office of S.A to the Governor on Students Affairs, Oyo State. The Ministry of Youths and Sports, Osun State, FarmKonnect Nigeria, Fullrange Micro Finance Bank, Google, Ovie Brume Foundation and a host of others.
